Abstract

In order to improve the mastery of word skills in karate learning required learning models that must be applied by a teacher. One model that can be used is the cooperative learning model STAD type. STAD is one type of cooperative that emphasizes the existence of activities and interactions between students to motivate each other and help each other in mastering the material. This study aims to determine the effect of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the process and learning outcomes of word number karate. The method used in this research is the experimental method. The population in this study were UPI Bandung PJKR students who took karate learning classes. The sample in this study was taken randomly using a random sampling technique of 50 students divided into two groups (experimental and control). The statistical analysis used was the t test analysis with the similarity of two parties on average. The test results show that tcount is greater than ttable. Criteria In this case the t count is in the rejection area H0, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means there is a significant influence of the STAD type cooperative learning model on the process and learning outcomes of word number karate.
